I have 12+ years experience as an Art Director/Graphic Designer in a vast range of genres. My strongest ability is to adapt to what ever esthetic I’m working with and live there. From Ecko Unlimted’s Urban/Skate culture to the highest levels of luxury with Ralph Lauren. From the “Punk Couture” of R13 Denim to the best in serious active wear with The North Face. I have created strong brand identity for a wide range of clients. Another skill that separates me from most Art Directors is my dedication to understanding the product, creative concept and strategy development, marketing and brand objectives, consumer needs, and the value of effective communications. I grew up in Philly with an Artist/Designer father who worked in advertising but my first love was music. I studied at Berklee College of Music where I really learned the discipline it takes to be an artist. When I graduated I started producing Hip Hop and R&B. Always having an ability and an eye for design, I took a graphic design job at And 1 Basketball, which was in its infancy. I needed the money. I was the ninth employee hired there and as the Art Director I saw the company raise it’s value to $200 million over a 4 year period. I found my calling. I then joined Marc Ecko at Ecko Unlimited in South River New Jersey as Art Director where I experienced similar success. After 4 years we went from a warehouse in South River to an entire building in Manhattan. I then became the Art Director for RL Polo Jeans Company which became the highest selling brand at Macy’s in its category. I went on to help create the Denim & Supply Brand from scratch as Senior Art Director. The Brand exploded out of the gate and became a successful international business.
